Installer / Estimator - Theatrical Equipment

STE Australia Pty Ltd - Theatrequip
Leichhardt-based business, Sydney metro work area with some country and interstate work.

Due to an increasing workload, we are seeking additional permanent full-time and/or part-time personnel.

Duties:

● Installation of rigging and equipment; primarily stage track and curtains.
● Work at height; using ladders, scaffold and operation of scissor lifts etc. as appropriate.
● Plan and fully coordinate individual jobs.
● Factory manufacture and assembly.
● Site Measure, quote (off plan and site measured) and liaise with clients.

Skills and experience:

● Ideally a trade or rigging background.
● Metal and woodworking skills.
● Proven mechanical aptitude - fault finding / problem solving.
● Basic knowledge of simple motor control systems. 
● Computer literate.
● Clear and effective communication skills.
● Full drivers licence.
● Own general tools.
● OHS construction induction training certificate (not essential, will train if necessary).

Additionally applicants should be:

● Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
● Conscientious and self motivated.
● Willing to travel and work outside of Sydney for short periods.
● Willing to consent to “Working With Children” background check (in relation to school works)
