COMPANY HISTORY

Jason Industrial as we were originally known was a division of Jason Industries Ltd. This company went into liquidation in January 1995.

On 13 July 1995, Galena Nominees Pty Ltd (as Trustees) took over the business of Jason Signmakers in a Management Buyout Exercise and the business ceased to be part of Jason Industries Ltd. All core workers and management skills remain with the new owners. The owners of the business are its 5 Directors, 4 of who have Executive functions.

Jason Signmakers began its first major signage programme in 1966, when it was awarded a contract to supply directional signs for the Kwinana Freeway Project. This relationship with Main Roads and its privatised Contractors continues to this day.

Jason Signmakers together with the 3M Company (our major supplier), have moved with technology and maintained the stringent requirements for road and traffic signage, set down by Standards Australia and Main Roads Western Australia.

In 1989, Jason Industries Ltd acquired Aluminium Lettering Services a long established company specialising in the manufacture and installation of architectural signage. This new combination formed a company rich in experience and versatility, with equipment such as heavy duty reflective sheet laminators, computer cutting for all grades of vinyl and retro-reflective materials, comprehensive sheet metal fabrication unit, system 48 router and engraving machines.

FINANCIAL CAPABILITY
Our business has an adequate capital base, currently employs 42 people and has Total Assets in excess of $1.5 million. Adequate resources in people, plant, finance and expertise is readily available to meet large contracts.

PROVEN EXPERIENCE
The advent of the new Commonwealth Bank logo offered us the opportunity to extend our corporate signage history. We became part of a bigger team, which successfully managed in one weekend the re-imaging of over 1000 Commonwealth Bank branches throughout Australia. In Western Australia, for which we were totally responsible, over 90% of the signage was in place and in operation before branches opened for business the following Monday

We were also involved in the National Australia Bank re-imaging of their branches. We played a major role in both manufacture and installation. This process began initially with a comprehensive survey of architecture, streetscape visibility and location. Taking into consideration the Bank's signage policies, we prepared a scope of works, which included removal, refurbishment, manufacture, installation and illustrations showing new sign type and positions.

TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT

Recognising that quality is the key to our own competitiveness, we have a total company quality culture.

We achieved accreditation AS 9002 (lic.3014) on 19 April 1994. Under this standard we receive annual independent appraisal of our quality system and certification.
